Every bit as good as bigger shows like Chelsea and Hampton Court, I was like a kid let loose in a sweetshop: actually I was entirely paralysed when I first went in as I just wanted everything I saw.
To save the bank balance I contented myself with taking photos of my very, very favourites. Well, mostly: I will admit three more scented geraniums and a Gillenia trifoliata somehow found their way into my bag.
So here were the ones that got away:

Hosta 'White Feather'(actually, I didn't want this one, but I thought it was proof if proof were needed that breeders always push it that little bit too far)
Dicentra 'Bleeding Hearts'(Cath's Garden Plants)
Epimedium 'Amber Queen'(Edrom Nursery)
Trillium sulcatum(Chris Cooke Plants)

Totally agree about the hosta, but I loved the euphorbia, and the epimedium. It looked like a crowd of butterflies. I always admire them but have never tried growing them. How stupid is that?!

Gutted to have missed the show. Your pictures are lovely, though, and show what i missed. I love Herb Paris which used to grow wild in our local wood but which seems to have disappeared in recent years.
Chris Cooke's woodland plants are fantastic. Several of his 'babies' are now thriving in my shady spot here at home.
You showed wonderful restraint. I've already picked up Dicentra 'Burning Hearts' and I wasn't even at Malvern, just goes to show you I would have emptied my bank account there.

Su - I too didn't realise epimediums (epimedia?) came in multiple colours: this one was bewitchingly butterscotch. Yum.

PG I'm afraid every single one of those pink camassias had a 'sold' tag on it - clearly they'd all been nabbed by the time we got there!
Nigel - we missed you! Next year you'll just have to fix that hip good and proper and come meet us all. Totally agree about Chris Cooke - I always fall in love with everything on his stands.
Christine - you clearly have excellent taste and don't need to go to flower shows to spot a good plant! Lucky you to already have that dicentra - it was such a wonderful combination, that berry red with the silvery filigree leaves... mmm....
